About INTERMEZZO Youth Organization

INTERMEZZO is a non-political, independent, and not-for-profit organization based in Drammen, Norway. Established and managed by dedicated students and members, the organization is driven by a passion for addressing a spectrum of global issues while emphasizing local awareness, cultural appreciation, European integration, youth policies, and social inclusivity.

Diversity and inclusivity form the cornerstone of INTERMEZZO's ethos. The organization firmly stands against discrimination based on race, color, gender, sexual orientation, creed, religion, national, ethnic, or social origin. With members hailing from various parts of Norway, INTERMEZZO works ardently to foster social development among young individuals not only in Drammen but also across the nation.

Mission and Objectives

The primary objectives of INTERMEZZO are multifold:

1. Empowerment and Solutions: Creating platforms for young people to identify and address their challenges by encouraging proactive solutions.
2. Youth Participation: Facilitating active engagement of young individuals in decision-making processes that impact their lives.
3. Skill Enhancement: Enhancing social development and vocational skills among the youth.
4. Advocacy and Initiatives: Encouraging and initiating action on pertinent social issues in the region.
5. Integration and Support: Uniting diverse interests, supporting integration efforts within the country, defending immigrant rights, and providing assistance to immigrants, entrepreneurs, and the unemployed.
6. Social Inclusion: Supporting marginalized groups, people with disabilities, migrants, and promoting their integration into society.
7. International Collaboration: Fostering international connections, particularly through participation in European projects and programs, to broaden perspectives and enhance organizational capacity.
8. European Integration: Promoting European integration, cultural exchange, and cooperation among nations, exemplified by its affiliation with MV International, a significant European network.

ERASMUS+ Participation and Future Vision

INTERMEZZO Ungdom seeks to leverage participation in Erasmus+ programs to gain valuable experiences and insights. By engaging in partnerships, the organization aims to acquire knowledge of best practices and effective methodologies within the social-educational domain. The goal is to enhance skills and capabilities to better serve stakeholders and contribute meaningfully to societal development.

Driven by a dynamic membership, with a significant representation of immigrants actively engaged at both local and international levels, INTERMEZZO remains committed to its vision of fostering social integration, personal growth, and creating a more inclusive and supportive society.
